Operation Smile is an amazing international medical charity that Veritas, Inc. is extremely excited to work with. Operation Smile works towards providing safe, effective reconstructive surgery and related medical care for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate.
Veritas, Inc. held a fundraising event earlier this year at Midtown Bowl with not only a Bowl-A-Thon, but also a silent auction raising $20,757.
All of Veritas, Inc.’s auction items were donated; with items from Heineken, to a day of golf,weekend golfing getaways, area rugs, year gym memberships, spa and local salon retreats, and Coach bag giveaways!
The most rewarding part of this event for Veritas, Inc. is that our Organizational Development Manager, Shanda Hardy, has traveled to Mexico on a mission trip to help perform surgeries for children with cleft lip and palate.
Operation Smile’s medical volunteers have performed more than 18,000 free reconstructive surgeries in the last fiscal year. The recipients are children and young adults born with facial deformities as well as patients with trauma and burn injuries.
These surgeries help change the quality of life for so many people worldwide and Veritas, Inc. is so happy to be a part of this fundraising goals that Operation Smile sets each year.
